We are delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Postgrad Solutions Study Bursaries worth £2,000 each.
Twenty-five-year-old Nicolas Massimiliano Di Salvo, 25, is studying an MSc in Construction Economics and Management at UCL. Nicolas left Italy when he was just 19 to build a better life for himself abroad. He studied a BSc in International Business Management in London before starting his masters at UCL. Speaking about winning the £2,000 bursary, Nicolas says, “I could hardly believe it. It was one of those rare moments where effort and gratitude meet. It reminded me that taking chances is always worth it!”
Lucy Skye Hudson, 22, is studying an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Heriot-Watt University. The Scottish student was surprised and incredibly relieved when she discovered she’d been awarded one of our coveted £2,000 bursaries, explaining, “I was so happy but also extremely relieved! It came as a massive surprise! This takes a significant amount of the burden off me and relieves a lot of stress, which will allow me to focus on my studies.”
Axelle Goepp, 26, is half French and half Gabonese. She is studying a Food Policy masters degree at City St George’s, University of London because she wants to gain the necessary knowledge to make meaningful change to Gabon’s food systems, where the food policy is still developing. Axelle was really pleased to be awarded a bursary saying, “Receiving this bursary has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and relieved so much stress. It couldn’t have come at a better time, and I truly appreciate it.”
After spending some time working within the education system and seeing how disadvantaged children could be within education, 27-year-old Olive Elliott-Smith decided to study Applied Child Psychology at the University of Sussex. She explains, “I have always worked in health, social care or education and have always felt that my role in the world is to help and support people.” On finding out that she was the recipient of one of our £2,000 bursaries, Olive was delighted saying, “Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!”
