POSTGRAD SOLUTIONS HELPS 10 STUDENTS FINANCE THEIR STUDIES IN 2010, AND IS GOING TO HELP A FURTHER 10 STUDENTS IN 2011!
Ten postgraduate students have been awarded a £500 bursary each from Postgrad Solutions to help them with their studies at universities throughout the UK and Europe, and there are 10 new bursaries available for 2011 - we would hugely appreciate your help to promote these bursaries to ensure they go to the most deserving students.
Last year Postgrad Solutions Ltd increased the number of £500 bursaries on offer to postgraduate students from six to ten in an attempt to help relieve the pressure of the gloomy economic climate. The bursaries were open to any student starting a postgraduate course in September/October 2010. There were 423 applicants from all over the world, and the ten lucky students have now been chosen.
The winners are from countries ranging from Peru to Pakistan, and the USA to Zimbabwe, and there are even a couple from the UK! They have now started their courses at institutions throughout the UK, including the University of Nottingham, University of Dundee, University of Derby, University of Leeds, Bournemouth University, Nottingham Trent University, City University London, and ESCP Europe, which has campuses in London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid and Turin. If you link through from your website to the Postgrad Solutions bursaries at www.postgrad.com/editorial/bursaries/ one of next year’s winners could be a student at your institution!
The panel of judges selected the winners on the basis of who they felt were the most deserving cases based on what they had written in their application. Upon receiving her bursary, Chinazo Unachukwu from Nigeria, said, ‘I can’t express my gratitude enough. I really want to say a big thank you to everyone at Postgrad Solutions. The £500 bursary has gone a long way towards reducing my worries and making me more focused on my programme.’ Chinazo is now studying a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds.
The other students include Alex Barker, studying an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health at Nottingham Trent University; Sadaf Javed, studying an LLM in International Commercial Law at the University of Nottingham; Romina Cooper Diaz-Ufano who is doing an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy at the University of Dundee; Amy Taylor who is doing her Masters in European Business at ESCP Europe; Shawanda Asbury, studying an MSc in Food Policy at City University London; Admire Bandambira who is doing his MSc in Enterprise Computing at the University of Derby; and Nancy Macharia, studying a PhD in E-learning Requirements for Higher Education at Bournemouth University.
As the credit crunch is still in full swing, Postgrad Solutions Ltd is offering the same opportunity of a £500 bursary to ten students starting postgraduate courses in September/October 2011. Payment of the award will be made directly to the institution, and will be discounted from the fees as appropriate. Students may only apply for a bursary after they have accepted an offer of a place at their chosen institution. The closing date for all entries is 18th August 2011.
We kindly ask your assistance to put a link to the Postgrad Solutions Postgraduate Study Bursaries on your university careers website to www.postgrad.com/editorial/bursaries/ and encourage your university departments to do the same.
